10 Nov My Book presentation at the Erickson bookshop in Rome, October 28th, in dialogue with Stefano Cipolla
“Shapes and colors in fairy tales. How a toy can be born from a story “, this is the title of my new book published by Erickson and which we discussed in Rome with Stefano Cipolla, art director of l’Espresso.A nice meeting telling about all our experiences and about products for young people, ….and the importance of educational toys to stimulate creativity. Fairy tales are a great source of inspiration for children and adults, and they will always continue to be: behind every project there is a narration, and behind every element of a narration there is a shape and color. In this, children have an innate predisposition in projections and are capable of truly extraordinary visual associations. If we learn to look at things like children we can play with the fairy tales, trasfoming them in playful products to learn concepts. The book theoretically and empirically provides the tools to transform the fairy tales we grew up with into geometries, rules, structures and colors. A method of decoding and synthesis that can be applied in toy design.
